New Legislation To Prevent Cell Phone Use While Driving
Effective January 1, 2010 the use of handheld cell phones, portable electronic devices and text messaging while driving will not be permitted, according to new legislative changes made yesterday. Only hands-free cellphones and devices that require one touch to activate will be permitted.

Analog Cellular Network to Be Shut Down on Nov 2
On November 2, 2009, CityWest will be shutting down our analog network. The evolution of wireless technology has led to the phasing out of analog networks and the transition to digital networks. Our cellular analog network was deployed in 1993. For the last few years, obtaining replacement parts for the network has become a challenge. In 2008, Bell and Telus shut down their analog systems. On November 2,2009, CityWest will follow suit.
